Amelia listened to Esmeralda as she spoke. She nodded a couple times, trying to show her interest in what she was saying. She gave her a smile in return of her wink. “Well, the LRS Legacy is my ship. It’s how I travel to different planets. I would assume this is Earth, in the Milky Way Galaxy.” She looked at Esmeralda, tilting her head slightly to the right. “Correct?” She stared at her, waiting for an answer. She knew she was correct though. Not too many planets have as many humans as this one does. It was one of the first things she was taught in school.
Esmeralda gently nodded at Amelia’s question. She was really intrigued by her story. “You have a ship? Wow. I’ve never knew a ship could be capable of traveling to different planets.” The gypsy loved learning about different people from different countries or planets and wanted to hear more of it. She tucked a loose piece of her raven hair back behind her ear. “Do you have a crew as well? And what does LRS stand for?”
Tom Hulce, Demi Moore, Kevin Kline, Heidi Mollenhauer, and Mary Wickes providing the voices for their characters in Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
"Well thank you anon."
OOC: Ah, thank you so so much! :) This means a lot!
OOC: Oh wow, thank you so much! That’s really nice to hear and I hope I continue doing Esmeralda justice.
Esmeralda placed her palm in top of his and smiled. She truly had a wonderful son and is thankful of him. “Thank you Leo, but please take care of your sisters before me. I’ll be alright.”
Amelia watched her. She liked to see how her skirt flowed with her as she danced. She had never worn a dress, or skirt, so she wouldn’t really know how much it would be able to flow with her. However, it was very mesmerising to watch. Of course, so was she. The way she stayed in beat with the sounds.. She would never find anything that unique back in Montressor, or anywhere else she had been to.
Once Amelia saw her coming towards her, she straightened up. She pushed back her hair as she did whenever she was trying to make herself look more presentable. “You’re welcome Esmeralda.” She gave her a small smile. “I’m Captain Amelia of the LRS Legacy. It’s a pleasure to meet you Esmeralda. If you don’t mind me asking, how did you learn to dance like that?”
"It’s very nice to meet you to Captain Amelia." Hearing the word, ‘captain,’ sadden the gypsy a bit, because she was really missing Phoebus and all of her worries were starting to come back into her mind. But attempting to not let it show all over her face, she smiled. "Well when I was about four years old, my brother taught me all there is to know about dancing and hasn’t stopped teaching me ever since. Dancing runs through my veins and it keeps bread on the table. The gypsy added a small laugh before giving a playful wink. "Now enough about me. What is the LRS Legacy anyway? I’ve never heard of it before."
Amelia had found herself crash-landed on a strange planet. According to some of her crew, it was a place called ‘Earth’. She hadn’t heard of Earth before, but she knew it would be quite the adventure. She told her crew to start repairing the ship. She was going to make sure Earth was a safe place to stay, just in case the ship couldn’t be fixed immediately.
Amelia looked around at her surroundings, noticing a big building that was in the distance. She decided to at least explore while she could. As she was making her way through the town. She noticed a dancer on the side of the street. She stopped for a moment and watched her. “Interesting…” She hadn’t seen anybody dance like that in years back on her home planet.
Esmeralda was out by her usual corner, dancing for all Parisians to see as they walked through, with the music playing from behind her. Her hip would move side to side, in sync with every hit of the tambourine she was carrying. A few glances were thrown at her. This never bothered her, as she had a huge passion for dancing and didn’t care if people were calling her names or not.
As she made a turn, she noticed a woman at the corner of her eye, watching her. The woman’s attire didn’t seem like anything a Parisian would wear. This woman was clearly not from around here. She ignored the music as she stopped and slowly approached the woman, giving a quirk of the brow. “Well thanks.” She folded her arms and smiled. She had never heard the comment before and it was nice to hear for once. “I’m Esmeralda. And you are?”
The gypsy bit her lip and she searched her mind for any positive answer. “Well we can only pray for his return shortly. Not even I know when he’ll return.”
"Yes of course, otherwise it wouldn’t be the same. Djali can be your partner this time." Esmeralda whispered in his ear, “I’d be surprised to but I will have a talk with her, don’t worry. I’ll even add in a hint as to being a dedication to Phoebus’ return."
"Well she did have a great teacher after all and perhaps as a family, we could do a performance sometime." Esmeralda placed a hand on her hip. “Would you be interested?"
"Don’t worry about her. I will teach her as well." Esmeralda was finally going to spend sometime with her daughter who she hasn’t seen in awhile. "Well you don’t need to go dancing in skirt." Esmeralda laughed, trying not picture that image. “Men have just as good as skills as the women. Just ask Clopin. He’d be happy to give you some advice as he has been dancing all of his life."
"I will Leo." Esmeralda was very proud on what a wonderful job she and Phoebus did on raising Leo. She knew if she ever felt worried or full of sadness, he would be the one to bring her back on her feet. “That’s wonderful. The children will be thrilled to know about this. Perhaps maybe you could give them a performance? I’m sure they would love it."
"Yes I am, but I know your father. He has strong will and will return to us shortly." Esmeralda smiled, attempting to present a positive attitude even though she was worried sick out of her mind. “What have you been up to lately?"
